Mary Hockaday is the current Controller of the BBC World Service English, having held the position since October 2014. Boasting a wealth of experience in global journalism, Mary has been working with the BBC since 1986, and throughout her career has been responsible for coverage of the fall of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in the 1990s, 9/11, and the invasion of Iraq at start of the century.
